[edit] Plot
Taking place shortly after the events of the original Wrong Turn, a group of six contestants are thrown together for six days in a simulated post-apocalyptic wasteland due to their participation in a reality television show called The Ultimate Survivalist: The Apocalypse, hosted and produced by a former marine Dale Murphy, in which the winner will walk away with $100,000. Located in a remote part of West Virginia, the contestants soon discover that what they really are fighting for is their survival — against a family of hideously deformed inbred cannibals who plan to ruthlessly butcher them all.

[edit] Trivia
- It was originally intended that this film should be a prequel, but after the project was put on hold, Turi Meyer was hired to write the script and it became a sequel.[4]
- The original script involved the two surviving characters of the first movie returning. This idea was later scraped when they decided to make a DTV sequel entry.[5]
- Henry Rollins was the first official cast member announced almost two months before the rest of the cast joined the film.[6]
- Director Joe Lynch originally wanted to have more inbred members in the film, but was unable to because of budget constraints.[7]
- Daniella Alonso also starred in Fox's The Hills Have Eyes 2, another horror-film sequel which centers on mutants/cannibals.
- Director Joe Lynch edited a trailer with music by Bear McCleary, and released it to Dread Central.[8]
