Writer's Block Volume 2 is a solo mixtape released by J.R. Writer of The Diplomats. Released in early 2005, this mixtape was the second of four in the Writer's Block series. This mixtape sold 105,000 copies in the U.S, due mainly to the sales of it's predecessor and promotion by fellow recording artist Johnny Goodrum.

- After the release of this mixtape, J.R. Writer officially dropped the periods in his name, becoming JR Writer
- This mixtape was going to feature his first hit single, Byrd Call, but the single was delayed and released in July 2006 with his debut album, History In The Making.
