Wright Thompson is an award-winning sportswriter for ESPN.com; he formerly worked at The Kansas City Star.
He is a native of Clarksdale, Mississippi, and an alumnus of Mizzou. Wright Thompson is the son of the late Walter Wright Thompson, a Clarksdale attorney who served as Mississippi Finance Chair for Senator John Glenn, Governor Michael Dukakis, and President Bill Clinton.
