[edit] A few notes
Deleted Jeff Jarrett info as it isn't really relevent. If we were going to put that on the page we should probably make a list of people who have appeared on the show or at least some examples (e.g. names like Jeff Jarrett, etc. etc. have appeared on the show in the past). Also can somebody confrim that TNA TV deal with a source and link? As far as I know they are plannng a tour at some stage but that's it. Normy 00:23, 20 May 2006 (UTC)
The Tour is off the charts (with the exception of an International Assult Tour). If you listen to the DCW Variety Hour, you know that every bit of new TNA Information on this site is 100% true and confirmed by TNA Management (not Backstage Gossip) Normy, start getting your facts streigh before you start accusing people of lying. You are clearly out of the loop.
- I wasn't lying, I was just asking for confirmation. Normy 04:20, 29 May 2006 (UTC)
-
- Pffft! The DCW Variety Hour is about as reliable as an AFL umpire being consistent! 61.68.140.26 12:18, 18 August 2006 (UTC)
[edit] Moving
It is unappropriate to include Amature Stats on a page labled "Professional" So I have moved it to a new page to eliminate "Professional" From the title.
- Okay, fair enough. Sounds good to me. Oh and thanks for finally giving me a source on that TNA television thing. I'll leave the issue be now. Normy 05:35, 23 May 2006 (UTC)
[edit] WWE vs. ECW special
Just off the top of my head I don't think this is being televised is the United States, let alone Australia. I thought it was just a hyped up house show. Can somebody verify this? Normy 04:42, 28 May 2006 (UTC)
USA Network is advertising it as is TBS I think in Canada and Sky Sports in England. Fox8 has released a press statement to the fact that they are trying to get broadcast rights.
[edit] Complete new article?
I believe there is enough information on amateur and freestyle wrestling to make a completely new article out of it. I don't even know why I agreed that these two topics should be on the same article. They've been kept seperate on every other article so why should this be any different? Besides, it could start a trend to create pages about amateur and freestyle wrestling worldwide, similar to the situation with professional wrestling. Normy 06:02, 3 June 2006 (UTC)
[edit] WWE Magazine
Any ideas when WWE Magazine will come to Australia? The Holy Trinity of Sports Entertainemnt 11:07, 23 August 2006 OzEST
--WWE Magazine Generally comes Out 2 months after the US Advertising Date. Not JBL
[edit] RCW/ANW-HRPW
Please note that RCW is also known as Drug City Wrestling - and should not be added to the local promotions listing for this reason. Also it is the subject of much controversy between it and ANW-HRPW, and it would preserve the integrity of Wikipedia if it was avoided completely. It's why I haven't added HRPW. Curse of Fenric 23:11, 19 September 2006 (UTC)
[edit] Doesn't make sense
"John Cena, Shelton Benjamin, Triple H, Big Show and Kane will be available with each character is depicted from the chest up."
This sentence does not make sense. Is it supposed to read:
"John Cena, Shelton Benjamin, Triple H, Big Show and Kane will be available with each character being depicted from the chest up." Roaming27 07:56, 5 December 2006 (UTC)
[edit] Current Media
This page is not exclusive to Wrestling History. It as always and will always cover current wrestling media on TV, Radio and LIVE! WackadooXanadu 03:48, 25 January 2007 (UTC)
[edit] Message sent to me about RCW AND HRPW
[edit] HRPW
A war will erupt on WP if either HRPW or RCW are placed on the page. They are deadly enemies. Death threats have apparently been exchanged. It's very nasty. I have a friend - a former WP editor - who said that RCW is drug afflicted and has said that on the talk page. Mal Case 08:04, 20 March 2007 (UTC)
UPDATE High Risk Pro Wrestling has a telvised show on a weekly basis and therefore qualifies for "promotion" on this site whether they are feuding with another promotion or not! Mal Case, please stop deleting this promotion from the page! So far you have no evidence of these death threats etc... except here-say. I have e-mailed both promotions asking them to varify your statement! WackadooXanadu2 11:10, 27 March 2007 (UTC)
- Wackadoo, Mal emailed me about this and I have come back just briefly to address you - and I can tell you that you will get nothing but lies from RCW. I don't know about the death threats, but there is certainly a high level of animosity between RCW and HRPW. I agree with Mal about a war breaking out - an edit war to be precise. I don't really care anymore personally, but I know a great deal about the Adelaide scene - and believe me if you knew what I know you'd be backing Mal up and not having a go at him. And for the record - does a local community channel count as qualifying as a promotion no matter what? I heard that a backyard fed got a deal with a similar station in Western Australia. Does that qualify them? I think you have a lot to learn about Australian Wrestling. Mal may have been a bit alarmist - but his root concern about a war on WP is valid. It may be best for all concerned if (as I indicated further up this page some time ago) that both feds be avoided. Curse of Fenric 11:33, 27 March 2007 (UTC)
-
- Backyard Feds do not count! However, I don't doubt what Mal is saying is true but all promotions deserve a fair chance! I have not added Riot City to the page and I also have doubts about High Risk, but I'm willing to give the lesser of two evils the benifit of the doubt utill there is Hard Evidence provided. I ill be happy to change my opinion in that instance! WackadooXanadu2 13:02, 27 March 2007 (UTC)
[edit] PWA Melbourne Status
I am reliably told that PWA Melbourne is not defunct. It is if anything in a hiatus as a promotion. It is still the head of the entire PWA structure that includes Canberra, Elite and Queensland. A friend of mine knows the owner and founder of PWA, and that person is still seen as the figurehead. Removing PWA Melbourne from the promotions list would be a slap in the face to his work. Mal Case 05:50, 25 March 2007 (UTC) I am currently investigating with PWA Management the exact official status of the promotion. WackadooXanadu2 06:15, 25 March 2007 (UTC)
Update Statement from PWA Administration "PWA Melbourne is not longer an active promotion. It finished up at the end of 2006. The talent in which we are using for our shows (Mad Dog and Champagne Pyro) are being billed from the defunct Melbourne promotion due to their history with the company and the PWA name."
[edit] Statement From Riot City Wrestling
My name is joe greco and i represent RCW, in regards to your email to our web site referring to RCW wrestlers being drug afflicted, this is a false statement, in this business there is lot of rubbish and jealousy that goes around, we try and keep a low profile but there are groups around that will try to discredit each other, so we try and stay out of it as much as possible.our goal in SA at the moment is to give the fans the best shows possible for the cheapest price, we do not make much profit or pay our wrestler ,we are a group that all work together and all do this for free because we love this bussiness and what we can do for our fans. also if you live in SA and wish to come down to our training facility and meet some of these so called drug afflicted wrestlers , please contact me on 0431060256 and i can organize a time or if you have any other questions you are welcome to contact me at any time . WackadooXanadu2 01:28, 28 March 2007 (UTC)
- Wackadoo, you're talking to the wrong person. Joe is a decent fellow - I know him quite well. But he wouldn't know what's going on around him and it's easy to hide stuff from him. I know for certain that three of the wrestlers are on drugs - at least. They even fooled me for awhile, although I should have seen one of them coming what with his attitude. I feel sorry for Joe to be lumbered with this. He's going to end up with egg on his face unfortunately. Curse of Fenric 09:22, 28 March 2007 (UTC)

- Thanks Curse! I won't take up the offer from them to ring them then. Waste of time if he doesn't know. I couldn't visit anyway as you know! Mal Case 04:32, 29 March 2007 (UTC)
[edit] Statement from High Risk Pro Wrestling
Thank you for the email in regards to apparent 'death threats' to a 'RCW' group from High Risk Pro Wrestling.
High Risk Pro Wrestling is a professional wrestling company and I can confirm that High Risk Pro Wrestling has NOT EVER sent or recieved death threats to/from anyone or any other promotion.
High Risk Pro Wrestling prides itself on having the most entertaining product in the country with the highest live crowd attendances than anyone else in the state. Something of this nature not only would damage our live crowd, but our reputation.
Once again I thank you for trying to clear this up and I hope I have helped you do that. Kind regards, Rebecca Brooks Administrator - High Risk Pro Wrestling
