Welcome to the ODP Cross-Pollenation WikiProject!

The Open Directory Project is the most comprehensive, human edited web directory.[1]

Wikipedia is not a web directory, but the Open Directory Project is. It is in this way that they can both complement and enhance one another.

Goals
  • Improve Wikipedia articles by removing superfluous external links per the policy at Wikipedia:External links.
  • Improve ODP by moving links to listable sites to ODP.
  • Link Wikipedia articles to relevant ODP categories.
  • Add links to good Wikipedia articles to ODP categories.
  • Assist Wikipedians in finding the right ODP category to link to.
Scope
  • The project is a collaboration among Wikipedians who happen to be ODP editors.
