WQUT is a radio station in Tennessee.

The station format is classic rock and is branded as "Tri-Cities Classic Rock 101.5 WQUT." As of the latest Arbitron ratings book (fall, 2006), WQUT is the second highest rated station in the Tri-Cities (Johnson City, Kingsport, Bristol TN/VA) market (adults 12+) behind WXBQ-FM. Over the last decade, WQUT has typically held that position in most rating periods.

WQUT is the flagship station of Citadel Broadcasting Tri-Cities (Johnson City TN-Kingsport TN-Bristol TN/VA) and began broadcasting in 1948 as WJHL-FM at 101.5 megahertz. In 1960, the call letters changed to WJCW-FM and its effective radiated power became 100,000 watts from its antenna on Buffalo Mountain in Johnson City TN.

WQUT carries the “John Boy and Billy Big Show” from 6:00 to 10:00 AM Monday through Saturday. WQUT is home to the Ronald McDonald House and St. Jude Children’s Hospital Radiothons and is involved in community activities throughout the Tri-Cities market. Its sister stations are WKOS, AM910 WJCW (which signed on in 1938), AM640 WGOC, and AM1320 WKIN.
