WQLZ airs at 92.7 FM out of Taylorville, IL and Spaulding, IL. The station plays an active rock format. Its current morning show is called The Stone Age. For nine years the station's main show was Ray Lytle's Morning Disaster, hosted by Ray Lytle. In 2005 he left and started internet radio station Disaster Radio Network. The show that replaced Lytle was "The Freak Show" and ratings plummeted. The show was cancelled shortly thereafter. WQLZ is owned by Mid-West Family Broadcasting in Spaulding, IL. The station is built to appeal to the Springfield, IL market. It's estimated radiated power is 11.5 kW. It has a sister station named WMAY at 970 AM
