WPRO is an AM radio station located in Providence, Rhode Island on 630 kHz. The station is owned by Citadel Broadcasting Corporation, and airs a talk format. WPRO is consistently ranked the number one talk station in Providence by Arbitron. WPRO has won several 2007 Associated Press Awards, including Newscast of the Year, Breaking News, and Continuing Coverage. Dan Yorke was also selected as Associated Press Talk Show Host of the Year.
