wpktsfs is trying to take a short wikibreak and will be back on Wikipedia on April 14, or sooner. Most likely, however, wpktsfs won't be able to keep away from Wikipedia for that long, and will probably be back a lot earlier while making some small edits every once in a while anyway.

[edit] License tagging for Image:Plumedknight.gif

Thanks for uploading Image:Plumedknight.gif. Wikipedia gets thousands of images uploaded every day, and in order to verify that the images can be legally used on Wikipedia, the source and copyright status must be indicated. Images need to have an image tag applied to the image description page indicating the copyright status of the image. This uniform and easy-to-understand method of indicating the license status allows potential re-users of the images to know what they are allowed to do with the images.

For more information on using images, see the following pages:

This is an automated notice by OrphanBot. If you need help on selecting a tag to use, or in adding the tag to the image description, feel free to post a message at Wikipedia:Media copyright questions. 03:11, 2 March 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Please use edit summaries

Hello. Please be courteous to other editors and use edit summaries when updating articles. The Mathbot tool shows your usage of edit summaries to be low:

Edit summary usage for Wpktsfs: 10% for major edits and 50% for minor edits. Based on the last 31 major and 4 minor edits in the article namespace.

Using edit summaries helps other editors quickly understand your edits, which is especially useful when you make changes to articles that are on others' watchlists. Thanks and happy editing! --Kralizec! (talk) 04:35, 6 March 2007 (UTC)

[edit] delete

Regarding image:42nd_district_title.jpg, I would use {{speedy}} or {{ifd}}. --evrik (talk) 19:15, 7 March 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Hippoquarium pics

if anyone has any pictures of the Toledo Zoo Hippoquarium, please download it to the wiki and put it on the page. Thanks! Wpktsfs 20:08, 19 March 2007 (UTC)

Thanks for making this page! I visited the Hippoquarium pretty much right after one of the babies was born, I think about 10 years ago, and really loved it. I sure wish more zoos would get the funding to improve their hippo enclosures. I'll look through some old albums to see if I have any pictures, but like I said, they'd be about 10 years old. --JayHenry 05:51, 21 March 2007 (UTC)

[edit] The Lion King

But of course I will edit The Lion King! It'd be my pleasure. I will start just as soon as I finish writing this. Never be afraid to ask me to edit something. It's my passion, and I love helping. *is off to edit now* Saber girl08 22:40, 20 March 2007 (UTC)

Okay, I finished. There were no typographical errors, but I did do some capitalization. Overall, the article was very good! Saber girl08 22:56, 20 March 2007 (UTC)

I looked at the other articles. The first two had some minor spelling errors (not many though), and the last one had no errors at all. Those pages look wonderful! Have a wonderful day. Also, thank you for reviewing me. ^_^

[edit] Manual of Style

On your most recent edit [1] of the One SeaGate article tonight, you un-fixed my correction to the capitalization on the "External links" section header. Perhaps you are unfamiliar with the guidelines in the Manual of Style for Headings, but they specify that only "the first letter of the first word and any proper nouns" are capitalized in headings. --Kralizec! [edit] One SeaGate

Hi, the image was deleted because you uploaded it as a "fair use image of an existing building", which automatically tags the image for deletion. Wikipedia policy doesn't allow fair use images if they could be replaced by free images, and that's almost always the case with existing buildings. If you live in Toledo, you could go down and take a picture yourself, and upload that under a free license. Or you can go to WP:MATCH#Ohio and make a request there. In addition, you can add {{reqphotoin|Ohio}} to the talk page, which will put it in Category:Wikipedia requested photographs in Ohio. —Angr 07:59, 24 March 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Rename? (copied from Maumee River Crossing talk page)

I am curious what people think about moving this page to Veterans' Glass City Skyway as this is the official name. I know the standard is to name the article the most common name, but I am curious whether Maumee River Crossing is still the most common name. I am not sure when the official name appeared, but it seems that it is becoming the name more often used. Toledo residents (Toledoans? Toledoites?) would probably know what people there call it. Polypmaster 04:16, 30 March 2007 (UTC)

As a Toledoan, I am not sure either. The bridge has no locally accepted name. Many people call it the Maumee River Crossing, Veterans' Glass City Skyway, or even "the skyway" and "the bridge" However, I think the page should be moved to Veterans' Glass City Skyway, with a redirect on the Maumee River Crossing page. My reasons are as follows:
  • Veterans' Glass City Skyway is the official name
  • Maumee River Crossing is not an up-to-date name for the project
  • Veterans' Glass City Skyway will logically become the most common name when used on signs, opening day activites, and other propoganda

I hope this helps, and I invite other Toledoans to join in and leave their imput. --wpktsfs 19:25, 30 March 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Thank you

Thank you for sending me the MOS link and the rest of the information. I hatd no idea, and I needed that. Much of it had information that I did not know. I will try to fix my articles to fit these guidlines. Thanks again. - Hmwith

[edit] Infoboxes

Is there a certain one you use for schools other than universities? Which one would I use? Hmwith 05:51, 3 April 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Holy See

Is the term "Holy See" a synonym for "Vatican City?" --wpktsfs 19:23, 3 April 2007 (UTC)

See Holy See. --Kainaw (talk) 19:25, 3 April 2007 (UTC)
"Holy See" is sometimes used as a synonym for Vatican City; this usage is somewhat incorrect as technically speaking there's a difference which you can read about in the link Kainaw provided. --JayHenry 19:27, 3 April 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Notability

If they're not notable enough for Wikipedia, they can be deleted if people think that they should be. Some might be interesting JUST to Toledo people, but obviously no one else. Thanks for the advice!

As for Being There Magazine, I found that in Wikipedia's most wanted articles. I couldn't find anymore info on it... but I tried to create one that hopefully other people who know more about that magazine can add onto. Hmwith 21:27, 5 April 2007 (UTC)
