Would-be-goods
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
The Would-be-goods are a British twee pop band fronted by singer Jessica Griffin. Their name was inspired by the 1899 adventure story by children's author E. Nesbit.
On her first album, Griffin had no band of her own and was backed by members of The Monochrome Set.
Peter Momtchiloff, formerly of Talulah Gosh, Heavenly, and Marine Research, joined the band as lead guitarist and bassist in 2000.
The 1999 compact-disc re-release of The Camera Loves Me included four new songs originally recorded in 1993. The album was re-released again in 2003, this time including the two songs from the "Hanging Gardens of Reigate" single.
