Worthington Arena
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
Worthington Arena is a 6,378-seat multi-purpose arena in Bozeman, Montana. The arena opened in 1956 as the MSU Fieldhouse. It was renamed the Brick Breeden Fieldhouse/Worthington Arena, in honor of John "Brick" Breeden and Max Worthington, both members of the "Golden Bobcats" basketball teams of the late 1920s and early 1930s. Breeden would go on to coach the Bobcats basketball team and serve as athletic director, and Worthington would become a longtime booster and school administrator.
It is home to the Montana State University Bobcats men's and women's basketball and women's volleyball teams. The venue has hosted three Big Sky Conference men's basketball tournaments: 1988, 1996, and 2002.
