Worthington is a civil parish in the Metropolitan Borough of Wigan, Greater Manchester, England, about four miles north of Wigan. The parish is very sparsely populated (population of 135 according to the 2001 census), and apparently does not have an active parish council or parish meeting.[1]
It used to have a dyeworks and a colliery. It comes under Standish and its local Anglican church is St Wilfreds. It is also the home of Worthington Hall.
