Worst case scenario
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
The phrase "worst case scenario" is used to describe any situation which could not be any worse, in other words, the worst possible outcome of a situation.
Organizations, both in business and in emergency services, usually try to predict their worst case scenario so they can deal with it effectively if it occurs.
[edit] In popular culture
- A book compiled of worst-case scenarios (and deferring it) has been published and appropriately titled "The Worst-Case Scenario Survival Handbook". The book explains how to fight off alligators, how to open parachutes when it fails to open, how to land a plane and so on.
