Worrell

Worrell is a design consultancy based in Minneapolis, Minnesota. According to the firm's website Worrell is dedicated to helping companies compete in the global marketplace through design innovation. They employ specialists in a range of disciplines, including Industrial Design, Graphic User Interface Design, Package Design, Ethnography, Social and Contextual Research, Mechanical Engineering, and Prototyping.
Worrell was founded in St. Louis Park, Minnesota in 1976 by W. Robert Worrell and Judy Worrell. The firm moved its offices several times over the next thirty years and is now based in a 30,000-square-foot design campus in the historic Nordeast neighborhood of Minneapolis. W. Robert Worrell continues to serve as President of Worrell, while Christian Trifilio is the current Director of Design and Research.
Worrell has developed new products for companies in a broad range of industries. Recent clients (as of 2005-06) include Honeywell, Best Buy, Imation, FilmAid International, LifeFitness, Johnson & Johnson, Guidant, and Tyrell.
Since its establishment Worrell has received numerous design awards including TIME Magazine’s “Ten Best Designs of 1985” and multiple BusinessWeek/Industrial Designers Society of America Industrial Design Excellence Awards.
