[edit] History

The WWC was started by Michael “Superstar” Shawn Parks and is currently run by Jeremiah L. Young. It was started by Parks as a family friendly wrestling group in response to the ultra violent over the top independent wrestling groups that he felt parents wouldn’t take their children.

WWC held its first show in 2003 in Manchester, Ohio, built around an appearance of WWE Superstar Al Snow. Snow teamed with Dark Angel to defeat WWC Tag Team Champions The Dream Team (Superstar and Keith News) in a non-title match. WWC ran monthly shows through out 2004-2006. And featured a large number of independent wrestlers from around the world including Shark Boy, Jimmy “Superfly” Snuka and Doink the Clown.

In 2006 Parks announced his retirement and turned the company over to announcer and part time booker Jeremiah L. Young. Since then the WWC have been running more shows and are on their way to their first DVD taping King of Extreme on March 31, 2007.
