Modern World Prayer Movements

Revivals throughout the centuries have often begun with a small group of young people praying often in an as simple a location as behind a haystack. They have then spread to cities, countries or even continents. In modern times, www.PrayForOurWorld.Com, www.MySpace.Com/PrayForOurWorld1 and Dr. Nick Farmer have begun attempting to unite believers (Christian and Catholic believers) from around the world into a unified world prayer movement with the goal of bringing God's blessing and hand upon this planet in order to fix many of the problems and ills that plague mankind and that politicians, world leaders and philanthropists have as of yet been unable to solve. Modern world prayer movements should be distinguished from other world prayer organizations that do not have as their goal to spread a prayer movement to as many Christians as possible and to bring a major change in the condition of the world but do unite many Christians in prayer on an ongoing basis with various prayer requests from individuals who participate in their particular prayer chains or prayer organizations. (examples: The Roman Catholic Church, ECLA, The Presidential Prayer Chain).
