World Federation of KSI Muslim Communities

World Federation of Khoja Ithna-asheri Muslim Communities is an international umbrella organization of Shi'a twelver organization that engages in education and charity work, organizes conventions and publishes books.

Established in 1976, it is aimed to be a umbrella organization of global scale for uniting isolated Shi'a twelver communities under its leadership [1].
Their scope and achievements been dramatically extended over the years, while their objectives remain the same:
- promoting the Shia faith worldwide
- alleviating poverty, disease and dependence
- educating community members
- facilitating, funding and supporting communal endeavours
- rising to the assistance of Shia communities internationally within its capacity
Its primary activity is publishing books (see #Publishing below); the organization also holds annual conventions and participates in emergency relief efforts.

The World Federation was formed in 1976, in response to the diaspora of non-African Muslims from Uganda caused by Idi Amin's persecution [1], after 1500 Shi'a twelver families emigrated from East Africa to the United Kingdom and Canada, something that coincided with the 1979 Iranian Revolution [2].
Its current president is Hasnain Walji [3] and its vice president is Ahmed Hassam[4]

It is specialized in publisher Shi'a twelver books [8]. Among its books is the book of Islamic jurisprudence (Arabic: fiqh) of the most well known contemporary Grand Ayatollah, Ali al-Sistani, which they themselves translated and published under the name of Islamic Laws.
