The World Cube Association (commonly abbreviated as WCA) is an organization that regulates and holds Rubik's Cube competitions. It was founded by Ron van Bruchem of the Netherlands and Tyson Mao of the United States.[1]

As well as these board members the World Cube Association also assigns delegates who can organise an official competition. As of early 2007 1336 people around the world have attended WCA events. The fastest solve of a 3x3x3 Rubik's Cube at a WCA event is 10.36 seconds, set by Edouard Chambon on February 25th, 2007 during the 2007 Belgian Open.[2]
