[edit] About World Vital Records

World Vital Records is a small subscription-based genealogy research company located in Provo, Utah with a big ambition-- to help every genealogist in the world to be successful.

Back in June 1996, Paul B. Allen (World Vital Records CEO), Richard Stauffer, and John Ivie (now World Vital Records developers), were instrumental in building a genealogy site called Ancestry.com. Paul B. Allen was Ancestry.com's first CEO, and later served in various roles. He changed the rules back then by publishing all Ancestry's databases online instead of on CD ROMS, like others were doing. Paul B. Allen left Ancestry.com in 2002 with a dream in mind; to make it easiy and affordable for individuals to connect to their families and find answers to their genealogical questions.

That dream came true in June 2006 when Paul B. Allen and small group of enthusiastic genealogists got together and decided to jump back into the genealogy industry. They launched World Vital Recordswhich now has over 100 million names and is adding new data everyday.
