[edit] Categorizing this article under Category:Charismatic and Pentecostal Christianity

I don't think it was appropriate to have this article categorized with Category:Charismatic and Pentecostal Christianity, because even in the article itself references are made to the Emerging church, Evangelical churches, traditional Protestant churches, and Roman Catholic churches. "Worship bands" can now be found in nearly every Christian denomination or sect. Therefore there is no need to classify this article as specific to the Charismatic movement found within Christianity. --Philipacamaniac 18:05, 31 May 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Cleanup

The paragraph that was just added to the end is not very encylopedic, and needs to be revised. Actually, the article as a whole needs to be sectionalized and a few more wikilinks would be appropriate. Maybe this article should be trimmed to focus only on the band element, while a new Contemporary Christian Worship article should focus on the style and its features/critisms. --Philipacamaniac 00:26, 2 June 2006 (UTC)

Apparently Worship music is the article that addresses the topic of Contemporary Christian Worship. While I disagree that the entirety of Worship music should be so specific (worship music has existed in several forms for several centuries), I still think that the style criticisms in this article belong in Worship music. --Philipacamaniac 01:09, 2 June 2006 (UTC)

I am surprised at the link with emerging church here. I would have thought of the emerging church influence being more towards using pre-recorded music especially ambient styles. I would have thought that the guitar based music of worship bands is more traditional among charismatic (and Pentecostal) churches although this has spread to nearly all types of Christian worship.
