The reason why this article shouldn't be deleted is because it is not about a person, group of people, band or club; it's a page about a society, a non-governmental organization founded in 1966 as a nonprofit educational and scientific organization in Washington, D.C., with some 25,000 members in more than eighty countries around the world. Also, there are other articles referring to the Society, so to make things more complete this article is needed.
