Talk:Word of God (community)

How can this be categorized as non-dominational and then also categorized with a certain demonination? Seems unencyclopedic to me. Jporcaro 18:45, 12 December 2006 (UTC)
- The Charismatic and Pentecostal Christianity category is a category that includes both articles having to do with Pentecostal churches (which would count as a denomination) and articles having to do with the Charismatic movement (which is not a denomination, but rather a movement that appears in many "traditional" denominations, ie. Episcopalian, Lutheran, etc.). The Word of God community fits into the charismatic aspect of the category, not the Pentecostal. It is tricky to categorize though, since its not a church, and members attend a wide range of churches. Hope that clarifies things. Danbold 19:26, 12 December 2006 (UTC)
So I added a lot to this page from some of the research I've been doing over the last few years. Much of it was from interviews I've had with leaders in the community and former community members, as of yet unpublished. There is some information about the Word of God in a few books I've read. · The Century of the Holy Spirit: 100 Years of Pentecostal and Charismatic Renewal, (Nashville, Thomas Nelson Publishers, 2001), Vinson Synan, (ISBN 0-7852-4550-2) Has a bit of information.
There's another book that I have lost track of that had a lot of information. I will track that down and post the information for it as soon as I get to my other hard drive.
