[edit] Synopsis

Spoiler warning: Plot and/or ending details follow.

As Phoebe's unborn baby starts showing signs of fierce demonic powers and a violent hatred of Paige, the Seer plots to steal Phoebe's baby and magically place it in her own body, thereby gaining the power bestowed upon the heir of the Source.

[edit] Enemies

  • The Seer: See Seer (Charmed)
  • The Tall Man: Oral tradition tells of a giant whose body served as a portal to other dimensions. He swallowed everything. Because he was imprisoned by the Source in a magical cage created by the Seer centuries ago, nobody knows what this demon's name is. There's no known vanquish for him, the Source was so threatened he condemned the giant to spend eternity in a cage. This cage, which was forged from unbreakable magic, is located in the Source's dungeon. The cage will allow magic in but not out. The Tall Man is vanquished by Phoebe (using the powers of the unborn child).

[edit] Spells

  • To Steal a Child in the Womb: Let the little children come to me, for the kingdom belongs to such as these. Give me strength and give me might, to steal a child in still of night. Darkest forces let it be. Hear my plea, bring life to me.
  • The Power of Three Spell: Repeated line The power of three will set us free.
  • To Call a Lost Witch: Power of the witches rise. Course unseen, across the skies. Come to us, we call you near. Come to us and settle here.
  • Vanishing Spell: Let the object of objection become but a dream, as I cause the seen to be unseen.

[edit] Trivia

  • As Phoebe herself says, the baby she was carrying wasn't hers, it was all pure evil, mainly conceived by The Source and The Seer; that is why the latter would claim it as its own.
  • The episode title is in reference to Tomb Raider.
  • Phoebe's unborn child uses its mother's body to attack Paige because she did not like Cole.
  • Phoebe tears off a part of the Seer's ear.
  • The Seer quotes the Bible by repeating the verse, "Let the little children come to me, for the kingdom belongs to such as these."
  • The ending of this episode is similar to that of the Raiders of the Lost Ark.
  • Phoebe stated in Season 2 that she is a vegetarian, yet she tells her unborn baby that if it is good at the police station, she will eat meat.
  • The Seer dies in this episode but reappears in the Season 5 episode, Centennial Charmed.

[edit] International titles

  • French: Pouvoir absolu (Absolute Power)
  • German: Die Brut des Bösen (The spawn of evil)
  • Spanish: El invasor del útero
