[edit] Precursor

You added a {{disambig}} tag to the Precursor article. This is not correct as that article is really a multi-definition and not a disambiguation page. A disambig page resolves ambiguities in names. The links on this page are examples and not alternative names for a precursor. I've removed the tag. If you have any questions, let me know. Thanks! -- JLaTondre 03:25, 18 January 2006 (UTC)

[edit] vandalism

Please refrain from adding nonsense to Wikipedia, as you did to Category:Early hominids. It is considered vandalism. If you would like to experiment, use the sandbox.

[edit] Templates for testing purposes

If you want to use templates for testing purposes, you should use Template:X1 or Template:X2 for that purpose, not create a "Marcus Anderson" template that is not for general use. -- Curps 02:49, 14 February 2006 (UTC)

[edit] templates

Hello,

What's up with the templates you're creating? -- Curps 02:47, 4 March 2006 (UTC)

I wanted to have wikipedians to see those templates.
Where will they be used? -- Curps 02:50, 4 March 2006 (UTC)
I wanted use them in the sandbox.

[edit] Wikinews main page templates

Dear Woer$: I would be exceptionally grateful if you would please tell why you have created verbatim copies of the English Wikinews main page component templates here on Wikipedia; I do see that you answered Curps above, although you have not yet explained what their purpose is. I take it that you understand the Main Page, and its component templates, are not editable by users who aren't administrators, and this cannot be circumvented by creating a new set of templates with names matching those on Wikinews. In addition, of course, the styles present in the template wikicoding will be broken, because the CSS style for Wikipedia is different to Wikinews. Unless I hear from you within 24 hours with a good reason for them to be kept, I'll delete them. Thank you for your contributions to Wikipedia. Best regards, --NicholasTurnbull | (talk) 03:27, 4 March 2006 (UTC)

Dear Woer$: Regretfully I have had to delete those templates, because I haven't heard from you in response to the above. I'll restore them on request if you have a good reason for their existence. Thank you for your contributions, and best regards, --NicholasTurnbull | (talk) 04:21, 6 March 2006 (UTC) Cenozoic

[edit] False information

Please do not deliberately introduce incorrect information into articles, as you did at Template:Most intense Atlantic hurricanes. It is considered vandalism. If you would like to experiment, use the sandbox. Thank you. --tomf688 (talk - email) 00:25, 13 June 2006 (UTC)

Please stop adding countries after countries to Category:Indian Ocean. In many cases, the information is not correct. Please refrain from adding incorrect information. Thank you. --Ragib 01:13, 24 November 2006 (UTC) Well Ragib these countries have coastlines on the Indian Ocean. Jordan has a strip of coatline on the Gulf of Aqaba, for instance. And do you consider the strip of coastline of Jordan on the Indian Ocean

[edit] article may be deleted; is that what you wanted?

It might not have been your intention, but your recent edit removed content from New Oreland. Please be careful not to remove content from Wikipedia without a valid reason, which you should specify in the edit summary or on the article's talk page. Take a look at our welcome page to learn more about contributing to this encyclopedia. Thank you. Will (Talk - contribs) 04:52, 15 December 2006 (UTC)

[edit] New Oreland

A tag has been placed on New Oreland, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under the criteria for speedy deletion, because it is a very short article providing little or no context to the reader. Please see Wikipedia:Stub for our minimum information standards for short articles. If you plan to add more material to the article, I advise you to do so immediately. Also please note that articles must be on notable subjects and should provide references to reliable sources which verify their content. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself. To contest the tagging and request that administrators wait a while for you to add contextual material, please affix the template {{hangon}} to the page and state your intention on the article's talk page. Feel free to leave a note on my talk page if you have any questions about this. Will (Talk - contribs) 04:52, 15 December 2006 (UTC) I found out that it is actually New Orlean but i then did not know how to delete articles.

[edit] Don't look like a vandal. Please provide an edit summary when you edit.

When editing an article on Wikipedia there is a small field labeled "Edit summary" under the main edit-box. It looks like this:

Edit summary text box

The text written here will appear on the Recent changes page, in the page revision history, on the diff page, and in the watchlists of users who are watching that article. See m:Help:Edit summary for full information on this feature.

Filling in the edit summary field greatly helps your fellow contributors in understanding what you changed, so please always fill in the edit summary field, especially for big edits or when you are making subtle but important changes, like changing dates or numbers. Thank you. Will (Talk - contribs) 05:32, 10 January 2007 (UTC)

Will, I have seen relatively few users even know they could create an edit summary. —The preceding unsigned comment was added by Woer$ (talkcontribs).

That is why {{summary}}, which I used, includes an image and instructions. I don't like the alternative available, {{edit summary}}. That has a simplier desciption with no image. Will (Talk - contribs) 06:09, 10 January 2007 (UTC)

[edit] You forgot to sign your post above

Hello. In case you didn't know, when you add content to talk pages and Wikipedia pages that have open discussion, you should sign your posts by typing four tildes ( ~~~~ ) at the end of your comment. You may also click on the signature button Image:Wikisigbutton.png located above the edit window. This will automatically insert a signature with your name and the time you posted the comment. This information is useful because other editors will be able to tell who said what, and when. Thank you! Will (Talk - contribs) 06:10, 10 January 2007 (UTC)

[edit] worrisome signs

Hello,

I noticed you added countries to the Least Developed Countries list based on your own research. Then I noticed your userpage is a mock page for an imaginary country. Jubaland is on the Indian Ocean in East Africa, although it was part of the Mali Empire in West Africa. And on this page you've already been warned about nonsense. It's fun to do research and add to Wikipedia, but please be careful. Potatoswatter 04:19, 21 February 2007 (UTC)
