  • 07/18/1979 WKBJ AM 1600 signed on in Milan, Tennessee operated by MILAN BROADCASTING COMPANY, INC.
  • 12/03/2001 WKBJ Applied to relocate to Lakeland, Tennessee.
  • The move was permitted when KJIW AM 1600 West Helena, Arkansas surrendered its license.
  • 02/26/2002 The FCC accepted the sale of WKBJ TO WMQM, Inc.
  • 05/29/2002 The Call letters are changed to WMQM.
  • The WMQM Call letters was previously assigned to AM 1480 in Memphis a station then owned by George McClintock, who is now General Manager of the current WMQM.
  • 12/21/2002 WMQM Signed on with 50kw at the new location in Memphis.
