WMKV (89.3 FM) is a radio station in Reading, Ohio, a suburb of Cincinnati. It is the first FM educational public radio station in the U.S. to be licensed to a retirement community. WMKV entertains listeners all over the world with its live webcast. Operating on the campus of Maple Knoll Village, one of the nation's top-rated retirement communities, WMKV features adult standards and big band music, with performers such as Count Basie, Bing Crosby, Benny Goodman, Frank Sinatra, etc. WMKV has been broadcasting since 1995, winning national and international awards for programming ever since.

In November 2004, WMKV was the subject of a front-page Los Angeles Times profile, which led to major gains in its listenership worldwide. The writer, P.J. Huffstutter, had discovered the station while reporting on the 2004 American presidential election.

In July 2006, WMKV expanded its offerings to include classic "old time radio" with Mike Martini and Mark Magistrelli, award-winning hosts and producers who'd gained a wide following on a five-state public radio network with their "Theatre of the Mind" and "The Big Broadcast." The station also acquired Magistrelli's "When Swing Was King," one of America's longest running big band/classic popular music shows. Under the leadership of newly appointed station director George Zahn, the station updated its music rotation to include a wider variety of "Great American Songbook" standards by contemporary artists such as Kristin Chenoweth and Harry Connick, Jr. WMKV also added news programming, ranging from hourly news from the Associated Press to an unique daily two-hour simulcast of WXIX-TV's "Fox 19 Morning News." By September, these changes had helped WMKV achieve its most successful listener fund drive to date.

The station's transmitter has an effective radiated power of 410W.

In addition to its streaming audio service, three WMKV programs are currently available as podcasts via iTunes: "WMKV World Front," "WMKV Computer Talk," and "The Big Broadcast."
