WMEI is a new television station in Arecibo, Puerto Rico and will broadcast over analog channel 60 and digital channel 14. The construction permit is owned by Corporate Media Consultants Group, LLC.

Once on the air, WMEI will be rebroadcast on the following stations:

WOST 16^* in Mayagüez
WWKQ-LP 26 in Quebradillas
WQQZ-CA 33 in Ponce

WQQZ-CA is currently silent.

^* -- Because it was granted an original construction permit after the FCC finalized the DTV allotment plan on April 21, 1997 [1], WOST did not receive a companion channel for a digital television station. Instead, on or before February 18, 2009, which is the end of the digital TV conversion period for full-service stations, WOST will be required to turn off its analog signal and turn on its digital signal (called a "flash-cut").
