WLMG was originally Beautiful music WWL-FM (now being used at its sister station at 105.3) until the 1970s, when its switched to Top 40. But by the late 1970s it would begin its current AC history as WAJY ("Joy 102"), which would later become "Magic 102" in 1987(and its moniker modified to "Magic 101.9" in 1995).
