Founded in 1995 as a solo project by former Darkwoods My Betrothed bassist Teemu Kautonen, Wizzard soon developed into a fully-fledged band. Not to be confused with German power metal practitioners Wizard, the Finnish band Wizzard play heavy/thrash metal with early black metal influences. Their song "Iron, Steel, Metal" appeared on Children of Bodom's EP named Children of Bodom along with Cryvahoc's "Repent (Whore)".
