Wiz Khalifa

Wiz Khalifa, born Cameron Thomaz, is a Pittsburgh rapper.

Born Cameron Thomaz in North Dakota in 1987 to a mother and father serving in the military, Wiz moved to Pittsburgh at the age of 2.

He has been influenced by artists such as Jay-Z, Camron, and the Notorious B.I.G.

He has a mixtape titled "Prince Of The City...Welcome To Pistolvania" and an LP titled "Show and Prove", as well as an appearance on the Dutch producer Nicolay's 2006 album Here and an appearance on Brooklyn's DJ Rhudes two mixtape releases.

Wiz has also shared the stage with such popular national acts as Ghostface, Styles P, Lupe Fiasco, Bone Thugz N Harmony, Cham, Little Brother, Clipse, and most recently, Nas. After bringing home “Best Male Artist” and "Lyrcist Of The Year” at the 1st annual Pittsburgh Hip Hop awards, Wiz premiered his worldwide debut video “Pittsburgh Sound”. It was immediately shared with the nation on AllHipHop.com, XXLMAG.com, YoRaps.com, and SixShot.com. It has exploded via the Net on sites such as YouTube, Myspace, and Ifilm with views already in the tens of thousands… Stay tuned for the latest…

He also has popularized, but did not coin, the nickname Pistolvania for Pennsylvania.[1]
