[edit] My RfA

Hi Wizardman, yes, they've given me the tools now. Thank you for badgering for them for me. Rest assured that I heard every voice loud and clear during the discussion, and will strive to use the mop carefully and responsibly. Please don't hesitate to give me constructive criticism anytime. Xiner (talk, email) 13:36, 14 March 2007 (UTC)

[edit] My RfA

Thank you for supporting my recent RfA. It was successful, and I certainly hope to be a good admin. Shimeru 16:12, 17 March 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Comment on Doug Thorburn Page

Thanks for the comment on Talk:Doug_Thorburn - yours is the only comment, so would you say I should take the line in question out of the article, or is there a further process to go through (I've no wish to get into an edit war over this)? TIA StuartDouglas 11:22, 19 March 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Wikiproject Biography awards (copied from here)

Honestly, I'd probably keep it at 1000. Barnstars are meant to be hard to get, and 1000 isn't that hard to obtain really. Then again I just did 100 in an hour because I don't have a life, I may be in theminority in terms of drive. If it gets more people interested you can do it if you want. Oh and how are you not an admin yet? I'll gladly nomiate you if you want to be one (though I'd say et's what until after the assessment drive.--Wizardman 22:43, 24 February 2007 (UTC)

Thanks. I'll keep it in mind. -- Jreferee 22:42, 28 February 2007 (UTC)
Hi Wizardman. Nishkid64 awarded me my first barnstar and I've worked a lot with Nishkid64 at DYK and other places. He is putting together my RfA nomination. Please feel free to contact Nishkid64 if you would like to help. -- Jreferee 17:07, 20 March 2007 (UTC)
Yeah, Wizardman. Feel free to add a co-nomination to Jreferee's RfA. =) Nishkid64 20:14, 20 March 2007 (UTC)
Hi again, Wizardman. The Wikipedia:Requests_for_adminship/Jreferee almost is ready for transclusion. Per your request on my talk page, I would be honored if you would like to co-nominate the request. Please let me know how you would like to proceed. -- Jreferee 21:05, 20 March 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Last push for the Biography Assessment Drive

We've done great work so far on the WikiProject Biography Spring 2007 Assessment Drive, reducing the 135,345 backlog by 38,626 to 96,719 as of March 20, 2007. We have only 6,720 more to go to get below 90,000. That would be outstanding and any extra effort that you can offer in these last few days of the drive (which ends March 24, 2007) would be much appreciated. If you haven't already, you may want to load Outriggr's assessment script in your monobook.js. If you have any questions, please feel free to post them on my talk page. -- Jreferee 23:22, 21 March 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Closing RfAs

Hi, I saw that you closed Wikipedia:Requests for adminship/DvDknight. When closing an unsuccessful RfA, be sure to list it at Wikipedia:Unsuccessful adminship candidacies. John Reaves (talk) 16:34, 22 March 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Jansen Van Vuuren

Hi. The result of the above discussion was Merge. Why then did you simply delete the page and redirect? You argument that they are "pretty well merged already" simply wasn't true, as there was a substantial quantity of material that should rightly have been moved into the race report page. If you are going to carry out the resolution of an AfD debate, could you please actually follow the terms as agreed. Cheers. Pyrope 10:10, 23 March 2007 (UTC)

[edit] My RfA

Thank you for support in my unsuccessful RfA. I appreciate the support, and am disappointed on being judged by what in most opinions seem to be the wrong things. Until next time, edit on! :) — RevRagnarok Talk Contrib 03:53, 24 March 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Re:RFA

Yup, I know I closed it early. I've done this quite a number of times in the past too. I've spoken about this (Sep-2005 RFA archives), where I routinely close entries (<6 hrs to go) that are a runaway success with low activity on the last day. I don't see any point in keeping the RFA going when the outcome is clear with so little time to go. Regards, =Nichalp «Talk»= 18:13, 24 March 2007 (UTC)

[edit] RFA nom

That is an extraordinarily generous offer, thank you very much. Your note has led me to give some thought as to exactly where I am going in my relationship with this project. I started out as an article writer, with no real intention of doing anything other than writing articles. I became involved with one or two WikiProjects and as a result started working on setting up schemes of categorisation. This in turn led to WP:CFD and increasing involvement in the debates there. In amongst this I started on regular anti-vandalism patrols using Vandalproof.

There has certainly been something of a shift from those early days, but it is not a shift that I am necessarily displeased with. Essentially I suppose I have become more project-focused, rather than content-focused. I still have plans for various new/expanded articles for the future, there is no reason that being an admin (should I pass) should interfere with this. It would be good to be able to help out by being a little more 'hands-on' at CfD, help clear the periodical WP:CSD backlogs, and it would certainly be of use with my RC monitoring. I am gratified by the faith that you have been willing to show in me, if you would be willing to nominate me then I would be pleased to accept.

Best wishes, Xdamrtalk 20:17, 25 March 2007 (UTC)

Ok then, it looks like we are now live. Many thanks for the nomination, we'll see how things work out. --Xdamrtalk 13:41, 26 March 2007 (UTC)

[edit] RFA Thanks

I would like to thank you for your support in my recent RFA. As you may or may not be aware, it passed with approximately 99% support. I ensure you that I will use the tools well, and if I ever disappoint you, I am open to recall. If you ever need anything, don't hesitate to leave me a note on my talkpage. Thanks again, ^demon[omg plz] 20:46, 25 March 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Surprised?

Xdamr's RFA better succeed: CFD is taking over my life. I wrote out a request at WP:BRFA last night, to get permission to run AWB in bot mode to do CFD/W stuff, and only just managed to stop myself saving it. That was too close! Anyway, no, I'm not an admin. Perhaps I may be some day, but only after I've met all my editing targets. As of about now, I've only 1500 edits, three more articles, one FA, and an FA on the front page, to do and I'll have cut down the tallest tree in the forest with a herring. Or something like that. Thanks for your support on my Request for adminship, which was successful, with votes of 49/0/0.

[edit] Future sport categories

It's fine to decide to keep these categories, but since the nominator had depopulated them before nominating, I have tried to revert everything. I hope I haven't missed anything and that I won't see my edits reverted. Anyway I won't go into an edit war on that. Hektor 14:43, 28 March 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Re: Your NFL/Template work

No problem at all. I'm working on it now, but if I can't solve it in the little time I have tonight, I'll definitely finish it up tomorrow morning. I'll keep you updated.↔NMajdantalk 02:25, 30 March 2007 (UTC)

Ok, its working. Let me know if you have any other issues. (FYI, I added the "by quality" category and you have to have Category:Wikipedia 1.0 assessments in the "by quality" category.)↔NMajdantalk 02:32, 30 March 2007 (UTC)
