Witteveen (52°49′N 6°40′E) is a village in the Dutch province of Drenthe. It is a part of the municipality of Midden-Drenthe, and lies about 16 km northeast of Hoogeveen.

In 2001, the village of Witteveen had 160 inhabitants. The built-up area of the village was 0.049 km2, and contained 47 residences.[1] The statistical area "Witteveen", which also can include the surrounding countryside, has a population of around 620.[2]
