Witchford is a village in Cambridgeshire, England. The village has a Post Office, a farm shop, which sells mostly fruit and vegetables, a Chinese take-away and a garage. Witchford has a regular bus service to Ely, which is the closest city. There is also a secondary college and a Church of England primary school which both have strong reputations, the primary school lying next to the village Church which allows for many visits and educational trips. There is also a Village Inn and a Members Social Club.

[edit] Football in Witchford
Witchford's beautiful recreational green, which is maintained by a committee (Playing Fields Association), is where Witchford's many football teams play their home matches. Football is played all weekend with multiple colts teams playing and two adult teams. The Saturday football team (Witchford '96) is currently striving, having been promoted for two straight seasons and currently sitting towards the top of the league. The Sunday football team (The Village Inn) are a team going places under the guidance of manager Michael Ward. They sit top of the league after being promoted in their first season in the Halls Leagues
[edit] Pubs, clubs and shops
The Village Inn is a lovely public house situated in the centre of the village. Witchford Sports & Social Club lies next to the recreational green and is run by a committee and is a members-only club which offers cheap membership fees, cheap drinks and entertainment for all. Witchford Sports & Social Club is joined to the Village Hall (run by a separate committee) which can be rented out for parties, etc.
Witchford also have a hair dressing salon, along with a Post Office owned by Shelley Davies.

For the children there are three play areas, one situated on the recreational green, one near to the Village Inn and the last one situated on Victoria Green which is to the South of the housing estate.
