[edit] Enemies

  • Gideon the Elder: One of the most powerful Elders with mutilple powers including invisibility, telekenisis, molecular combustion, thought projection, etc, Gideon was entrusted with the creation of Magic School and was awarded the position as headmaster for the institution where young magical beings can learn about magic. While he originally pushed for the Elders to allow Piper and Leo to get married, once Wyatt was born, Gideon's attitude toward the couple changed drastically. He feared that all of the power that Wyatt possessed would cause him to turn evil and become an unstoppable threat. Gaining the sisters' confidence, Gideon used his position as a friend of the family to get close to Wyatt. But first, he hired a team of Darklighters to get Leo out of the way. He conspired with his evil counterpart in a parallel dimension to distract both the good and evil Charmed Ones so that he might kill Wyatt. The sisters realized his plan in time and stopped him, but only temporarily. Conspiring with Barbas, who used his powers to distract the sisters and Leo, Gideon managed to kidnap Wyatt, killing Chris in the process. Angered by his son's death, Leo tracked down Gideon in the Underworld and killed him. Unlike other Whitelighters and Elders, when Gideon orbs his orbs are purple.
  • Brute Demons: Upper level demons with overwhelming physical strength. They work alone, generally crushing skulls of their victims. Certain potions have proven effective in vanquishing them but care is recommended as Brutes are often fond of camouflage when attacking.
  • Shapeshifters: Shapeshifters are demonic beings of no real form, that has can morph into anything or anyone they want: human beings, animals, or even objects.
  • Darklighter: See Darklighter

  • Ronyx-Crystal: An ancient form of magical crystals used to see things, like a surveillance camera.

[edit] Trivia

  • The episode title is a play on words of the movie Star Wars.
  • Another title used to promote this episode by The WB was Reality Check.
  • Gideon kills Sigmund in this episode when he tries to tell the Charmed Ones about his plans. In the episode The Legend of Sleepy Halliwell it was stated that no one can die at Magic School, however it was due to Gideon's spell that dark magic cannot kill someone in Magic School (even though Zachary's good magic that conjured the Headless Horseman was not able to kill anyone in the school...). Opinion: Since Gideon created the "no one can die in Magic School" spell, he probably can override it or create a loop hole.
  • The demon in the beginning said that the dead good witch had the ability to shoot fire from her hands. However, in the episode We're Off to See the Wizard Leo sees Phoebe using such a power and states that it is an upper level demonic power, which contradicts Something WIcca This Way Comes, in which a good witch is shown using pyrokinesis to light candles, and Pardon My Past in which a good witch (Phoebe's past life), albeit seduced by evil, also uses it. It could also contradicts The Fourth Sister, in which Aviva had the power to generate heat and fire, but that power was given to her by Kali. Another good witch with the power to create fire was Christy Jenkins from season 8.
  • This is the lowest rated episode of Charmed for the whole series.
  • It is interesting to note that at the end, everyone, including Piper, drinks champagne, despite the fact that she is 8 months pregnant. response: It was probably apple cider. In season 4 episode A Paige from the Past Piper offered Paige a glass of what looks like champagne to which Paige asks "cider?" and Piper confirms.
  • Drew Fuller cut his hair shorter in this episode.
