Wippit
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
Wippit is a legal MP3 download service that claims to be the second largest in the UK[1], although this is disputed by other sources.[2] The company was established in March 2000 by music producer Paul Myers.
On March 6th 2007, Wippit issued an incomplete press release appearing to announce they would be the first online music service to distribute the back catalogue of The Beatles. However, EMI has claimed that no such deal had taken place and requested Wippit rescind their statement.[3]
