Winter-hardy

Winter-hardy plants are those which are able to grow during the winter, or at least remain healthy and dormant. Examples include not only the obvious evergreens, but also many cultivated plants, including some cabbage and broccoli, and all kinds of carrot.

Winter gardens are dependent upon the cultivation of winter-hardy plants.
