Wine rack

A wine rack is a storage device that holds bottles of wine horizontally, or at any angle where the wine remains in constant contact with the cork, and are often found in wine cellars. It is very important for the wine to remain in contact with the cork during periods of extended storage, otherwise the cork would dry out and increase the likelihood of the wine spoiling. Another very important variable to control is temperature. The proper storage temperature is 55 degrees Fahrenheit. To do, this it is best invest into a wine refrigerator, or make your own.
There are several types of wine racks available, made from various woods and metals. Some have an elaborate design, meant to be seen by company, while others are purely functional.
You can get portable wine racks, or custom build them right into your home or wine cellar. Stackable units are a versatile solution for growing wine collections.
