Winchester (bottle)

Winchester bottles are a common type of glassware for laboratories. Winchesters are used for the storage of corrosive chemicals and for the disposal of some types of chemical waste. The bottles take their name from the archaic Winchester measure, which was used in Winchester from Anglo-Saxon times.
