Winchelsea Beach is a seaside village in the parish of Icklesham in the Rother district of East Sussex, England. The village is located about 10 miles (15 km) east of Hastings.

Winchelsea Beach is where marshland meets the sea to create a friendly and relaxing little resort.

There is no soft sand to sit on, rather a lot of mud to wade through at low tide and very little parking. In the summer there is an ice cream van, and there are 6 benches on the sea wall. There is sea and shingle, with flat wet sand at low tide and lots of little pools. Many species of birds frequent the sands, and the nearby Rye Harbour Nature Reserve. Winchelsea Beach is popular with dog walkers, lug diggers and folk with shrimping nets. It is also a good place for swimming and wind surfing.

The village can provide good food and simple entertainment, plus the vital facilities of village life: church, doctor's surgery, 2 pubs, a hairdresser, local produce, a shop with groceries, fresh bread, lottery, "cash back", a hole in the wall and a post office.[1]
