From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
Hi Wingzerotype, and welcome to Wikipedia! Thanks for your contributions to the coolest online encyclopedia I know of =). I sure hope you stick around; we're always in need of more people to create new articles and improve the ones we already have. Here are a few suggestions you might find useful:
- First, check out the tutorial and learn how to write a great article
- Find out more about what Wikipedia is and how it works
- Check out the manual of style and maybe the picture tutorial if you're interested in adding images to your articles
- Write from a neutral point of view, use wikiquette, and last but not least, be bold!
- Check out the community portal if you're looking for something to do.
- Finally, feel free to contact me at my talk page if you have any questions! Remember to sign your name by typing ~~~~.
Again, welcome! It's great to have you. Happy editing! --Spangineer (háblame) 12:03, 18 October 2005 (UTC)
[edit] Toms River edits
Please be careful when moving and redirecting pages. While I understand what you were trying to do, we have come to the names of these pages after long efforts at reaching consensus. Furthermore, copying an article and changeing the original to a redirect, loses all of the edit history and discussion from the original article. I have basically undone your changes, and encourage you to work on these articles. Alansohn 17:36, 20 July 2006 (UTC)
- Sorry, didn't know it would get rid of the history. But thank you for at least keeping the general idea of what I was trying to do. I just didn't think that people searching for "Toms River" would be looking for the river and not the town, so I wanted to make that the first article that came up. --Wingzerotype 16:41, 24 July 2006 (UTC)
