Wincest relates to fanfiction written by fans of the TV series Supernatural, and appears to be a signifcicant part of fanfiction. It's probably not appropriate for WP to have an article about this subject in particular, but a redirect to the TV series concerned would, IMHO, be appropriate.

When I created the redirect, I didn't know that it was a previously deleted page. Looking quickly at the contribs of the previous creator, Alex_Bakharev, he/she doesn't appear to be given to creating nonsense either, so I would certainly contest the immediate deletion of this page.

Although I concede that to outsiders, the writing of pornographic material relating to characters in TV series may appear nonsense, there is in fact a huge body of work based around this - see Slash fiction for some details.

I am also aware that the Google test is not necessarily authoritative, but at the present time, a simple search for WIncest returns 31,800 results.

Would you prefer a stub article rather than a simple redirect? Ringbark 09:37, 30 December 2006 (UTC)

Sorry, misread the log and now see that Alex_Bakharev was the admin who deleted the original version, which appears to have been a malformed redirect. Ringbark 10:55, 30 December 2006 (UTC)

Indeed, the previously deleted article was complete patent nonsense. RichMac (Talk) 01:15, 1 January 2007 (UTC)

Wincest is kind of a big deal. A stub article would be better than a redirect, I guess. Maybe someone should work on a new one.

As of January 21st, a simple Wincest search returns 44,300 results. It's growing a lot in just a month.

I seriously doubt that there needs to be an article about this. I'm going to submit it for deletion, and see what everyone else thinks. 65.80.177.104 19:54, 28 March 2007 (UTC)
