Wilton Aguiar Figueiredo, pron. IPA: ['wiwtõ figej'redu], born March 17, 1982 in São Paulo, Brazil, is a Brazilian striker for Swedish club side AIK. After a season with another Swedish side, GAIS, he was brought to the Swedish capital following both team's promotion to the Swedish top flight, the Allsvenskan in 2005.

A native of São Paulo, Brazil, Figueiredo has played with such talents as AC Milan's Kaká and Inter Milan's Adriano at youth level. Figueiredo himself has never played at the top flight in Brazil. After a season with second division side Céara FC he went to Sweden for a try-out session with GAIS. After 40 days he was rejected and went to try out with AIK. Upon hearing of this news, GAIS acted quickly and signed Figueiredo for three years. There has, however, been some debate about the issue. Some claim Figueiredo was on a month-long trial at GAIS and headed up to the Stockholm-based outfit without permission from GAIS. AIK were said to be impressed by Figueiredo and wanted to offer him a contract when GAIS chairman Christer Wallin stepped in and brought him back to Göteborg. In theory, AIK could have been fined for takim him on, but Wallin, known for his fair-play, let the whole thing go and just informed AIK that he was to be a GAIS player. This is still un-confirmed and further details of incident have yet to be revealed.

After having scored only two goals during the second half of the Superettan campaign he still garnered the interest of AIK who moved for a swoop during the pre-season of 2006. GAIS willingly agreed. Figueiredo enjoyed massive success in 2006, starting all but two games for his new club.

A capable striker with a drilling shot and a strong ability to keep the ball at his feet while at the same time being able to find the through passes, Figeiredo is considered one of the best strikers in the league and is already attracting interest from other European clubs. AIK will face a fight to keep him at the club during 2007.

Being promoted the season before, AIK managed to clinch second place in the league which qualified them for the UEFA Cup first qualifying round in July - much thanks to the skills of Wilton Figueiredo.
