Woodrow Wilson High School is one of 50 public secondary high schools in the LAUSD.

Wilson High was first established in 1937 and was located at what is now El Sereno Middle School, of the El Sereno neighborhood of Los Angeles, California. Since the year 1970, its location has been in the Los Angeles community of Hillside Village, atop Ascot Hills. The school serves Hillside Village, El Sereno, and University Hills.

Wilson High, with an enrollment of approximately 3,000 students, is one of six high schools under the direct supervision of LAUSD Local District 5. The school colors are navy blue and gold and the school's mascot is a mule (Seymour). Historic note: one of Wilson's alumni went on to fame in the NFL, Ben Davidson, Oakland Raiders, who coincidentally never played football for Wilson, he was on the basketball team.

Wilson also has two Magnet programs which are the Jr. Police Academy Magnet and the Administration of Justice and Law Magnet. The magnet schools are geared to encourage students of other districts to attend one of the two programs, however both local and non-local students are allowed to apply. The current Magnet Director is Mr. Richard Wagner.
