Willie Carr

Willie Carr was an Scottish football player. He was born in Glasgow, Scotland on 6 January 1950. He joined Coventry City in 1967 and stayed until 1975. He also played for Wolverhampton Wanderers and Millwall. He played internationally for Scotland.
Carr scored 33 goals in 246 league games for Coventry City. He is world famed for the 'donkey kick' goal against Everton in 1970, when he took a free kick by gripping the ball between his ankles and flicking it up for Ernie Hunt to volley home. Luckily the match was televised on Match of the Day for the world to enjoy as at the end of the season the move was banned.
