Williamsville North High School is a public high school in the Williamsville Central School District of Williamsville, New York with an enrollment of approximately 1,570 students in Grades 9-12. The school offers a comprehensive program with multi-level instruction in all academic areas. The school is accredited by the New York State Board of Regents.

The current principal as of 2006 is Mr. Robert B. Tubbs, along with assistant principals Mrs. Petrina Neureuter and Mr. Gary Collichio.

Williamsville North High School was built in 1968 becoming the Williamsville Central School District's second high school. Williamsville South High School was the first high school in the district (Eric Wolf, letter, December 29, 2005).

In February 2006, Dr. William Krone announced his retirement as principal effective August 1st, 2006. His successor, Mr. Robert B. Tubbs, was the former assistant principal of Mill Middle School, also part of the Williamsville Central School District.

[edit] Extracurricular activities

In 2006, the boys varsity hockey team set a state record when they went to the NYSPHAA Finals for the fourth year in a row. They won the New York State Championship three times in six years (2002,2004,2006) and their head coach Robert Rosen won New York State Coach of the Year honors.

In 2006, the boys cross-country team won their first Section VI Championship under the guidance of Coach Greg Stang.

In 2003 the Varsity Cheerleading Squad took 11th place at the AmeriCheer Nationals in Disney World, along with many other local titles.

In 2006, the Fantasy Role Playing Club took on several schools in a match of D&D that went on for a record three weeks.

In 2006, the boy's Swimming and Diving team broke three school records, and went undefeated at 16-0 including placing first at both the Erie County Interscholastic Competition and the Section VI Championship meet. They sent two relays and two individual swimmers to the State championship, all of whom placed in the top 16.

In 2006, the boy's wrestling team won the Williamsville North Invitational for the first time in school history. They had 4 tournament champions and one runner-up, and one third place finisher.

The school colors are Green and Gold because the Green Bay Packers won the Super Bowl in 1968.

In the 2003-2004 school year, there were approximately 1466 students enrolled in the high school. The average class size was 21 students. 70% of students graduating in the 2003-2004 school year went on to a 4-year college, 21% went on to a 2-year college, 1% went to an other post secondary school, and 5% went on to employment.
