William Upski Wimsatt

William (or Billy) Upski Wimsatt (born 1973) is a graffiti artist, author, and activist. A college dropout, Wimsatt is often paid to speak at many college campuses. Wimsatt uses "Upski" as his middle name, but it is really his tag, meaning the name he used to write graffiti growing up in Chicago.

Wimski was born in Chicago and graduated from the University of Chicago Laboratory Schools, but dropped out of college.

In 2004, Wimsatt founded the League of Pissed Off Voters, and remains its Director. In 2004, The League released How To Get Stupid White Men Out Of Office, co-edited by Wimsatt with Adrienne Maree Brown (ISBN 1-932360-08-5), a collection of essays from youth election organizers around the world.

Bomb The Suburbs (ISBN 1-887128-44-1), a collection of essays and other material mocking the suburban mindset. The essay "We Use Words Like Mackadocious...", previously printed in The Source (May 1993), influenced the development of the wigger subculture.
No More Prisons (ISBN 1-887128-42-5), referencing urbanism and the prison-industrial complex, was released in conjunction with an underground hip-hop album on Raptivism Records.
