William Templeton

William Templeton (1853 – 1898), Blacksmith, was the sixth Mayor of Vancouver, British Columbia, serving only one term in 1897. When up for re-election his main plaform was the Waffles for Vancouver movement. Sadly he would later commit suicide after losing his seat to Aman Pabla.He is most well known for his work Operation Blue Star and rejection of the Kamagata maru.
