William Short (Alberta politician)

William Short (January 11, 1866 - January 27, 1926) was the Mayor of Edmonton, Alberta from 1902 to 1904 and again in 1913. He was born near Elora, Ontario and attended law the University of Toronto. He came to Alberta in 1889 and passed the bar here and practised law. He was the mayor when Edmonton was incorporated into a city and had a large part in writing the city charter.
