William Prince (actor)

William Prince (born January 26, 1913, Nichols, New York; died October 8, 1996, Tarrytown, New York) was an American character actor who appeared in numerous soap operas and made dozens of guest appearances on primetime series.
After a mostly undistinguished movie career in the late 1940s, Prince moved to television in the 1950s and began making numerous appearances on anthology drama series such as Studio One, Philco Television Playhouse, and Armstrong Circle Theatre. He also had roles on several soap operas, including Young Dr. Malone, Another World, As the World Turns, The Edge of Night, and A World Apart, often appearing with his actress wife Augusta Dabney. He also had several film appearances, notably as Christian de Neuvillette in Cyrano de Bergerac (1950 film), and as network president Edward Ruddy in Paddy Chayefsky's Network.
During the 1970s, 80s, and into the early 90s, Prince made guest appearances on dozens of primetime series.
