William Madison Whittington

William Madison Whittington (b. 1878 d. August 20, 1962) was a Democratic politician from Mississippi. Whittington was a representative to the 69th congress in 1925, and the twelve succeeding congresses. Whittington studied at Mississippi College until 1898 and the University of Mississippi in 1899 where he was a member of Delta Psi social fraternity. Whittington served on the Flood Control and Public Works Committees, and was not a candidate for reelection in 1950. He died on August 20, 1962 in Greenwood, Mississippi.
